I am a psychologist from Sydney, Australia with four beautiful children and two grandchildren of my own. It has always been my goal to write books that can help children and their parents with everyday struggles. Knowing the growing prevalence of child anxiety, I wanted to write “Millie and the Worry Bird” to help many more families than I can even imagine.
I have been counselling children and families for many years. Most of my little clients present with common developmental fears, and I have used cognitive behavioural therapy to help them identify and better cope with their anxiety. Their successes have given me the inspiration to write this book. The concepts and strategies used successfully by my clients can help children and families worldwide.
I hope that you enjoy “Millie and the Worry Bird”! I have included explanatory notes at the back of the book so that you can be aware of the very many things that this wonderful book has to offer.
